Animation time!

Hello, welcome to my Blog. Now I started this blog a long long time ago but as time went on I simple forgot about it so I'm here, newly committed and ready to share!

In the up coming weeks I'll be up loading photographs and links to past and present animation projects I've worked on and t you'll get to see images of armatures in the making, sets, animating etc.  I'll be discussing a lot about my latest project a stop motion animation called The Last of Us, set in an Arctic like environment about a spear hunting fisherman who ends up in a lot of trouble! Not to be confused (or related to) the 2013 game of the same title (I've not played the game but I like the name to much to change it however it is of no relation or link to the game).
I'm in the process of creating a website too which will take me a while as I really want to get it right.  This will feature a lot of the stuff i share here but with a more professional application in mind.

I'm currently doing an MA in Animation at the university of the West of England and with any luck should be finished in January 2015. I have a number of different mentors many of which are ex animators themselves, some still work for companies such as Aardman.

The aim of this is that eventually I will get work as a stop motion animator. I can understand that this is a very niche area of Animation but I love the process to much to animate any other way. I love animation in all its forms and often wish I was talented enough to CGI or 2d traditional but I'm not talented enough. The other forms of animation don't engage me work wise either, they don't grip me like stop motion does so it became fairly obvious quite quickly what I enjoyed doing and what drove me.

For all my projects I have so far, done everything myself short of sound. I make all my own sets and Armatures before going into Animation mode weeks at a time. My latest project will be finished animation wise by December 12th so I tend to have a very quick turn around time once a project is in full production.

Anyway once I've organised my images I want to share etc, I will start up loading them and going through my work processes from there. Hope you find it helpful or informative and if any of my posts happen to spark a question ask away.
